Me, Fredrik Floen (1988, Bergen Norway,) a Norwegian costume designer who presents his work in a range of different theatrical contexts. I graduated from Oslo Academy of the Arts spring 2017, with a MA in Design, fashion and costume specialisation. Former education in Fashion and production design and theatre studies. In my artistic practice I´m circling around the theatrical, assortative, challenging, unfinished, fantasy and maximalism working with new ways of approaching identity, future, body(culture) and co-existence. Beside working as a artist, I also teach costume design. I  have in the recent years been in touch with Nationaltheater Mannheim, Hotel Pro Forma, Otta Kulturhus, Palais de Tokyo, School of The Arts Institute Chicago, Munch Museet, Black Box Theater, Ibsenfestivalen, The Norwegian Opera, Scene: Bluss, Fruholmen Fyr, The Norwegian Opra v/Trond Reinholdsen, Turteatern v/Marie Nikazm Bakken, Vinge/Müller, Ingri Fiksdal. Recent collaborators are MUNCH and Runa Borch Skolseg. I receive support from the Norwegian art council trough a working grant from 2022-202, and are representing Norway in the country and region exhibition at PQ23. 

Meg, Fredrik Floen (1988, Bergen Norge,) en norsk kostymedesigner som presenterer mitt arbeid i en rekke ulike teatralske sammenhenger. Jeg ble uteksaminert fra Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo våren 2017, med en MA i Design, mote og kostymespesialisering. Tidligere utdanning innen mote- og produksjonsdesign og teater. I min kunstneriske praksis sirkler jeg rundt det teatralske, assortative, utfordrende, uferdige, fantasien og maksimalismen og jobber med nye måter å tilnærme seg identitet, fremtid, kropp(kultur) og sameksistens. Ved siden av å jobbe som kunstner, underviser jeg også i kostymedesign. Jeg har de siste årene vært i kontakt med Nationaltheater Mannheim, Hotel Pro Forma, Otta Kulturhus, Palais de Tokyo, School of The Arts Institute Chicago, Munch Museet, Black Box Theatre, Ibsenfestivalen, Den Norske Opera, Scene: Bluss, Fruholmen Fyr , Den Norske Opra v/Trond Reinholdsen, Turteatern v/Marie Nikazm Bakken, Vinge/Müller, Ingri Fiksdal. Nylige samarbeidspartnere er MUNCH og Runa Borch Skolseg. Jeg mottar støtte fra statens kunstnerstipend i perioden 2022-2024, og representerer Norge på PQ23.
